2nd Alarm Junk Yard Fire in Howell Township

HOWELL TOWNSHIP (MONMOUTH)--A 2 alarm junk yard fire raged out of control at Blewetts located at 246 Herbertsville Road on April 23, 2008. The fire occurred around 11 a.m. that day and several area fire departments responded to the scene to bring the flames under control. Firefighters used dual 5" supply lines of a distance of at least 700 feet and also used foam in certain areas to bring the fire under control.
