Serious Accident on I-95 in Lawrence Township

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP (MERCER)--Firefighters responded to I-95 the morning of Monday June 02, 2008 for a serious accident with entrapment. Firefighters arrived on scene and were able to do a quick extrication of the passenger in the rear seat so EMS could do a transfer to the Trauma Center @ Capitol Health System in Trenton. A State Police Helicopter was called to the scene for the transport but was not needed because the accident occurred within quick driving distance of the trauma center. Lawrence Road Fire Department, Lawrence First Aid Squad and Mercer County Paramedics responded to the scene. Unfortunately the driver and the front seat passenger passed away.
